What if vulnerability was our superpower?
“What We Are” is an online blog community for women of all walks of life to share unfiltered stories and experiences on various issues women face today.
We believe vulnerability is our superpower which is why we created a platform for open and honest dialogue. We cover all topics pertaining to what we are as women such as body image, motherhood, relationships, beauty, identity, politics and much more. Every month we share stories on a particular topic -stories that inspire, educate, and connect. Come as you are, no filter required.
Our lives are gorgeous, deep, scary, funny, full, and also isolating at times. We deeply care about women and the sisterhood that is at our fingertips; Yet, so many times we isolate, trying to get through life “on our own.” We both learned that by filtering our lives and our truths, we become more separated. It is when we choose to share our darkest, most surreal, most insane times in our life that we connect to each other. We will be talking about all of it – The hilariously embarrassing, absurdly disturbing, uncomfortably raw, or the big things that break you open and shore you up.
This is a place where you can laugh, cry, connect, commiserate, and celebrate. We are all soul sisters on this journey. (We warn you… there might be a lot of vagina-logues.)
I am an actor, writer, producer #allthethings. I am a wife, fertility warrior, and an activist for women in the film industry. I am an entrepreneur with my own skincare business. I am a sister, daughter, best friend, soul sister, and proud auntie.
I am on a mission to seek truth and reach my highest potential. I often fall on my face in the process, but that’s ok. I am incredibly sensitive and extremely durable. I am from Chicago, a Mid-west girl at heart, but I love Los Angeles and all the dreamers that come with it. My heart is always torn between these town magnificent cities, so I spend a lot of time in both.
Sisterhood is at the center of everything that I do because I feel it is only until we can reach out to each other and seek to understand each other that we will be able to change the world. I am so excited to give a voice to many women’s truth through this site.
I am a hot mess right now so I will get back to you as soon as I figure out how to type while feeding the baby, keep the dog from destroying my couch, and my toddler from burning down my house. #Iamallthethings
